Background

Siti Nurzanah is a part time PhD Candidate at Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies faculty. She is an education officer at Politeknik Brunei and is also part of the selected officers that graduated under the Youth Executive Programme (YEP): part of the Civil Service Leadership Pipeline established by Department of Public Service (JPA) and Public Service Institute (IPA) to produce competent and capable leaders towards achieving Civil Service excellence. She graduated both of her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Universiti Brunei Darussalam. She took Science Education for her Bachelor’s Degree and Master in Islamic Finance for her Master’s Degree. Throughout her studies and works, she learnt numerous law disciplines such as Business Law, Islamic Jurisprudence, Legal Issues in Islamic Finance, Brunei Labour Law, Brunei General Orders, Constitution of Brunei Darussalam and triggered her interest to further her study in law that influenced her research exploration on Islamic law specifically Hudud law of Syariah Penal Code Order 2013 of Brunei Darussalam (SPCO 2013) and its impact to Brunei Society. Her research evolves from Brunei citizen to the level of responses and actions taken by the public and private sector in Brunei Darussalam.
