Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Centre for Islamic Studies (SOASCIS) was established on the 30th of September 2010 with the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah. Its main objective is to produce graduates and scholars equipped with the necessary knowledge and expertise to lead the Muslim community in facing the changes and challenges of today’s world. This centre will also generate Islamic thinkers and intellectuals who can share and express their views and thoughts on contemporary issues.
